Nudge is a consumer app that records audio while you sleep, estimates when snoring occurred, and can produce a vibration intended to prompt a change in sleeping position. It also generates masking sound.
Nudge is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing it shows you should be used in place of advice from a qualified clinician.
Snoring accompanied by gasping, choking, or pauses in breathing may indicate obstructive sleep apnea, a condition that requires medical assessment. Do not use Nudge to decide whether you need care.
Suggestions shown in the app are general information, not personal advice. Some, such as mouth taping, are not safe for everyone and should not be used by anyone with untreated sleep apnea or nasal obstruction.
Do not place a phone under a pillow or under bedding. A charging device covered by insulating material can overheat.
Snoring detection is an estimate produced by software listening through a phone microphone. It can miss snoring and it can occasionally register something else as snoring. Figures shown in the app describe what the app detected, not a clinical measurement.
Nudge offers a free trial period, after which continued access to some features requires a subscription. Subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and can be managed or cancelled in your Apple account settings.
Recordings stay on your device and belong to you. You are responsible for what you do with them. Recording another person may require their consent depending on where you live.
Nudge is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including any decision made on the basis of what it displays.
These terms may be updated as the app changes. The date at the top reflects the current version.
